MaxMoto News from Milan 14/11/06.
(Update: 23/07/07 Demo Available)
Another new model from Moto Guzzi today was a 940cc entry level custom, the Bellagio, slotting in under the California range and aimed at taking sales from the Harley Davidson 883 Sportster.
With a shorter wheelbase and a weight emphasis on the rear wheel, this bike has an aggressive look, and the matt black, extra chrome and wire wheels gives it a air of authority.
Up front Brembo calipers and steel braided brake lines should stop the 940 efficiently.
At the rear is Guzzi's patented CARC low torque shaft drive, and there's a convenient remote pre-load adjuster for when taking a passenger
We believe availability of the Bellagio will be in the Summer 2007 and it'll be priced under the Guzzi California Custom models.
Originally launched as the Moto Guzzi 940 Custom is now named after a town on the other side of Lake Como to the Moto Guzzi factory where a lot of the testing goes on because of all fantastic biking roads around the town.
Update 22/07/07. We're collecting our first Bellagio from Italy and riding it back. We'll have it available for demo this Saturday (28th July). See the writeup of our Moto Guzzi Bellagio Rideback and photo gallery.
